Your departure, however, starts at 9 o’clock in the morning after a tasty breakfast on the roof top of your riad. Our representative will escort you to your comfortable minivan to kick off your Atlas Mountains adventure with having some fun with your kids at the Terres D’amanar park. The site is situated on the slopes of the high Atlas Mountains, about 22 miles from Marrakech, and offers an array of activities such as Zip- lining, BMX biking, tree-top adventures and craft workshops. There is a children’s area where they can enjoy and play for some time.

Back on the road again and the next destination is the village of Tacheddirt. The distance will be 1 hour and 30 minutes. Along the way, you will marvel at the panoramic views of the Atlas Mountains and the Berber villages hanging on the hills which makes for a stunning scenic view to take some pictures. Stops will be from time to time for you to enjoy the views with your kids and exchange some small talks with the Berber kids who will salute your family on the way. After that, you will arrive at Dar Bejmate guest house, Hassan the local Berber, will warmly welcome you with his heartfelt smile to his place to have a homemade lunch prepared by his wife. The village is the highest in North Africa and stands at 7591 feet. Thus, you will have your lunch with stunning views of the High Atlas Mountains.

After lunch, you will go with a local guide to walk like a local in the village. Your kids will have so much fun as they will have the opportunity to meet with the kids from the village. The local guide will interpret the speeches between the kids and what is more is that your kids, with your permission, can play with the Berber kids, who will be more than happy to see other kids visiting their village. Your adventurous experience will not end here, but it will continue to venture through the Tafraoute gorges and the nearby waterfalls.

Afterwards, you will have the privilege to see the Summit of Toubkal, considered the highest peak in North Africa at 13671 feet. The village of Imlil is the primary base for adventurers and mountain climbing enthusiasts to attempt to climb the peak. Imlil just like the other villages in the Atlas Mountains offer a mix of natural beauty coupled with authentic Berber culture.
